Beginning as early as 1964, Kuang Tien General Hospital began performing radiation oncology, and thus began accumulating years of experience in treating cancer patients.  In 1996, Kuang Tien introduced 3D Conformal Therapy, Multileaf Collimator Linear Accelerator Therapy, and Remote Controlled Afterload Brachytherapy, amongst other advanced radiation oncology treatment procedures and technologies.  Consequently, Kuang Tien became the first hospital in Taiwan to utilize the Multileaf Collimator Linear Accelerator through a computerized system combined with 3D Conformal Therapy, the most advanced radiation oncology treatment method available.
