International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF)
In February of 2006, Kuang Tien General Hospital joined 28 other private hospitals in Taiwan to establish the International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF)'s International Health Cooperation Strategic Alliance. The inception of this alliance opened a new chapter in the history of Taiwan's efforts to provide overseas medical services. The Alliance utilizes domestic medical resources and the government's efforts in international health support, with the goal of establishing Taiwan as a solid and vital member of the World Health Organization.
International Health Cooperation Strategic Alliance Goals The establishment of the International Health Cooperation Strategic Alliance will create a platform for cooperation among medical professionals and establish support channels for domestic medical organizations to participate in international health efforts. In addition, the Alliance will promote the Taiwan medical industry as an active and vital constituent of the World Health Organization with the ability to provide quality health services to the international community.
