Ms. J is an American teacher working at an American school in Taiwan.  She regularly visits Kunag Tien to follow up with her heart disease. The International Health Services team treated her like a friend and gained her trust. During one of her visits, the staff realized that she had been troubled by knee pain for a while but didn’t seek medical attention. The team arranged for an Orthopedic Executive Outpatient appointment where the doctor provided a detailed consultation and carefully examined her knee.  With the doctor’s recommendation, Ms. J decided to have knee replacement surgery.  During her stay in Kuang Tien, the coordinators visited her on a daily basis, assisted her with translation, as well as took care of her personal needs like buying food or post discharge home care supplies.  Ms. J felt impressed by the team’s patience and attentiveness, and is still a loyal customer today.
