According to the World Health Organization’s statistics, in 2012, 1.7 million women were diagnosed with breast cancer. Since 2008, breast cancer incidence rate has increased by more than 20%, while mortality has increased by 14%. Breast cancer is also the most common cause of cancer death among women (522,000 deaths in 2012) and it is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women in 140 of 184 countries. It now represents one in four of all cancers in women. Kuang Tien’s Breast Surgery Department provides comprehensive prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and reconstruction surgery services for breast cancer patients.

● Breast Tissue Examination: Monthly breast examinations help you become familiar with changes in your breast tissue. Furthermore, breast ultrasounds or mammography examinations are useful in the detection of small Breast Examination once a month to know your breast tissue and notice any changes in your breast.
