The Dermatology Department at Kuang Tien General Hospital was established in 1986. In 1993, a CO2 laser machine was introduced, which has since aided in successfully treating about 500 cases of skin tumor diseases and viral warts cases per year. In 1994, the Dermatology Department at Kuang Tien General Hospital became the only teaching hospital for Dermatology residency due to the high level of expertise of our physicians and advanced technology. In 1996, the department obtained the "Alexandrite Laser" for removing skin spots. Recently, the Dermatology Department also began providing “micro-dermabrasion” which acts quickly and effectively, without the side effects of traditional dermabrasion procedures. The Dermatology care team often participates in community outreach programs Which provide Dermatology exams and consultation, including general skin examinations, scalp detection, and sebum tests.
