Many people mistakenly drink herb wine for their health. Medical professionals insist that drinking too much wine can, in fact, damage your health. Mr. Lu, a 60-year old man who lives in Taichung, had become accustomed to drinking a bottle of herb wine every day. Recently, he began feeling discomfort in his throat, and underwent an examination at Kuang Tien General Hospital. He was diagnosed with stage three throat cancer and was told he would have only six months left to live if he did not receive the appropriate treatment.

Based on the recommendations of the physician, he received Image Guided Radiation Therapy(IGRT) at Kuang Tien General Hospital. This therapy acts like a spiral, radiating from 51 angles with the dosages can be altered based on the shape of the tumor, and will reduce the tumor’s peripheral tissue as well as some organ damage. After two months of treatment, the tumor had disappeared and Mr. Lu’s health returned. The patient has since quit drinking and smoking and receives regular examinations in order to  maintain a healthy lifestyle and eating habits.
