Established in October of 1998, Kuang Tien’s Nuclear Medicine Department was the first Nuclear Medicine Imaging Center in the Central West Coast of Taiwan. Located not in the basement but in a spacious and bright space on the sixth floor of the Sha-Lu Branch Second Medical Building, Kuang Tien’s Nuclear Medicine Department is run by physicians and technicians, managed by the hospital, and uses instrumentations provided by CuriMed. The hospital, patients, and suppliers all enjoy direct and indirect benefits through this type of operation.Patients no longer have to be transferred to other hospitals due to inadequate facilities and are able to reap the benefits of early detection and early treatment. In order to provide a medical center quality of care in west coast of central Taiwan, the Kuang Tien Nuclear Medicine Department has invested in PET-CT machines that will allow for early detection of cancer and distinguish tumor types and locations. The PET-CT’s dual modality digital imaging allows for fast, clear, and multi-angle images, assisting physicians in providing more accurate diagnosis.
