MedicalDepartment Introduction

In order to enhance the medical care quality of critical patients, Kuang Tien
established the Critical Care Medicine Department in 2013, combining the
Medical and Surgical Critical Intensive Care Units. Currently, the Critical
Care Medicine Department has 10 specialists and over 100 members of
nurses, technicians and other professional staff. The team treats over one
thousand critical patients annually and has been awarded excellence for
its patient care, advanced equipment and technology and academic
research. In 2013, Kuang Tien was certified by Taiwan’s Department
of Health as a first rate emergency care hospital. In 2013, Kuang Tien
was the only hospital in Taiwan with both branches Certified by the
Department of Health as a First Rate Emergency Care Hospital,
without the need for further certification.
