1. Patients with a terminal illness and life expectancy of six months or less.
2. Patients who have demands of physical, mental and spiritual help.
3. Families and patients who have the communication problems
4. Patients willing to accept consultation and palliative care of our hospice
and palliative care team.

In 2003, the Palliative Care Department was set up to fulfill and promote
Palliative Medicine and Hospice Care with the main target to enhance
patients’ life quality with active total care. The Palliative Care Department also
emphasizes the importance of patient support groups and regularly hosted
the patients’ forums, psychological counseling and image reconstruction
counseling courses. Combining with hospice and palliative care, it can provide
terminal illness patients to have the whole person, the whole family and the
whole process medical care with the better quality of life and death.
