Kuang Tien’s Neurosurgery Department is dedicated in clinical
diagnosis and treatment and is qualified as the only regional hospital
in Central Taiwan to offer Neurosurgery specialty training for resident
physicians. The Department collaborates with other specialty
departments to provide medical services including the ENT Department,
using the newest Vestibular Neurectomy technology to treat Meniere’s
Disease. The two departments have successfully treated the largest
number of Meniere’s Disease cases in Taiwan using this technology.
The Department has also invested in many state of the art equipment
such as the Nerve Monitoring System and Intracranial Pressure Monitoring
System, and uses them jointly with the Anesthesiology Department for
post spinal surgery pain management. Additionally, for Herniation of
Intervertebral Disc and bone spur surgery, the use of the Radiofrequency
Coagulation technique significantly improves recovery time for patients.
