The Department of Family Medicine was established in 1988, with the idea
of combining community outreach and medical services, including primary
care, preventive medicine, occupational medicine, and integrated health care
training. Additionally, the family medicine department is involved in patient
discharge services, home care for chronic patients, palliative care of cancer
patients and providing flu vaccination for community and the nursing homes.
